How can a Christian have a demon?
While a Christian cannot be "possessed" in the way portrayed in some media, they can experience demonic oppression and influence. Gods word uses the term demonised. This means evil spirits can affect their thoughts, emotions, and even physical well-being without owning their spirit.
Aren't all curses broken by Jesus' death on a cross?
Yes, Jesus' sacrifice broke the power of all curses. However, the manifestation of these curses can still impact individuals until they actively claim and apply the freedom Christ has already won for them in their life. Bob Larson says in his book "you need to cash the cheque of faith."
Can a Christian be affected by witchcraft?
Unfortunately, yes. While the blood of Jesus protects believers, intentional curses or witchcraft can still create openings for demonic influence if not actively resisted and broken through spiritual authority and deliverance. We can be impacted by demonic spirits that witches use, we need to learn to walk in spiritual authourity.
How can the Holy Spirit and an evil spirit reside in a believer?
The Holy Spirit resides in the spirit of a believer, which is born again and sealed by God. Demonic influence, however, typically affects the soul (mind, will, emotions) and the body. These are distinct areas of a person's being. Derek Prince uses a house as an analogy. Gods Spirit resides in the inner most room our spirit. Demons take up residence in the outer rooms.
Is deliverance and exorcism like we see on Hollywood? Spinning heads and green vomit?
No, deliverance ministry is not like Hollywood exorcisms. We do not see spinning heads or green vomit. Our sessions are, prayerful, and focused on inviting God's presence to bring freedom. If you read the gospels and look at the examples of Jesus casting out demons, sometimes demons manifest but not like Hollywood. Read Marks gospel.
How much will this cost?
As an itinerant pastor, speaker, and specialist in deliverance ministry I rely on donations as I am not working for a church. I am an evangelist and exorcist under the authority of SCAC (Southern Cross Association of Churches) and Bob Larson's DWJD teams. This is voluntary. Seek Freedom Australia operates on a donation basis. We believe deliverance should be accessible to all who need it, regardless of their financial situation. For those who are able we ask for a donation as we seek to cover our costs.
What should someone know or do before coming to a session with you?
What advice do you give people for after a deliverance or healing session?
Deliverance is not the finish line; it's the starting point. To maintain freedom and prevent old patterns from returning, you must fill the empty space with God's Word daily and actively seek first the Kingdom of God. Often people need more than one session. Attending a church community is very important.
